This week has been crazy so that I have a hard time focusing on anything. I am not discouraged or upset, life happens. In spite of all the events, I kept up with my scripture reading. On Monday I picked up a friend who had been in jail for 2 weeks for a DUI. Then I had my 6 hours of class. Tuesday I got up for my men's accountability group. I like that group because we can share anything and it is confidential. Then I met with a publisher for a lessons learned session on a pilot project I was on. We had lunch. I cam home to crash for a little bit and drove to Pueblo for a tour of a plant. fascinating tour of a manufacturing facility that makes break pads for aircraft such as the 747. Wed we went to the hospital to visit a friend. We thought he had a stroke, but he seems to be fine and he went home. Then I called my Dad to find out my brother's wife had surgery for ovarian cancer. They cut out many parts of the body-actually it is quite gruesome. I had my 6 hours of class and wet to a bible study at the Orthodox church. My wife takes a friend; it is a group of Russians. They listen to a video in Russian and discuss it with the local Father in English. The question came up about forgiveness and I shared a story about Corrie TenBoom who lost her family in a Nazi Concentration Camp. After the war she met a former guard after speaking in a church. She had to overcome her bitterness to reach out and shake the hand of one who caused her severe pain. Also this week, a friend lost her mother and broke her hand at the funeral parlor. I have been trying to encourage her. In a strange way, God is using me to encourage others. There are several other instances in which God used me to encourage others this week. The moral of the story is that you think you are supposed to be going in a certain direction and God uses you in situations that you do not plan for.
