The way forward

As I try to sort through all the happenings in my life, I am reminded by a message in church this week. The message had to do with Acts 1. We wait on the Holy Spirit and then God will reveal his power. rather than being busy, we purposefully live out our lives. The application to me is to forget what is in the past, and press onward and upward towards Christ Jesus (From Phil 3:14). The challenge is time management. So many distractions, but I do spend much time in prayer during the night. I continue to work on memorizing the scriptures. Seems like it takes a long time at my age, but I continue to work on memorizing large blocks of scripture verse by verse. Then taking the time to research the orphan issue and write about it seems to be on the shelf for now. I am in the middle of remodeling the downstairs so we can take in international students and alleviate our financial situation. I am, however, optimistic. I really do not have any vices to hinder me. It is a matter of continually walking by faith and trusting God.

Romania final reflection

As I collect my thoughts on the trip, the interesting part is that I met no orphans. We had a quite a successful trip with 110 conservative decisions for Christ, several anointing moves of the Holy Spirit, some healing, and our team cast our demons in two homes. We also gave out 300 coats and boots I am not sure of the total. The Spirit of God impressed upon me that He is still doing the supernatural. Sometimes it is difficult to see in my own education in scientific reasoning. I always believe in miracles. Timing is the key to the outpouring of God's spirit. I can share Christ and quite effectively. I am not an evangelist, but I can share my testimony and the Spirit of God uses it to help win people to Christ and encourage others in the faith.

Romania Day 4

Romania Day 4 Final day for sharing
14 January 2015
We went to a house with a Bogdan. We prayed for him and three others for salvation. I am not sure they really accepted Christ. Then we went to a house in which the wife had faith but the husband said he was not prepared. We prayed with the two sons Alex and Ilusta (sp) for salvation. The last house had a woman, a man (friend), and a young woman with two children. They had a real spirit of Christ. They said they waited for us for three days. I found out that she is not married to the man she is living with.

Romania Day 3

Romania day 3 - Some highlights
14 January, 2015
We went to 5 houses. First house we prayed for Vasile's sister to accept Christ. The second house had two women and three children. They were not ready to accept Christ. The third house had a husband who worked in England with a wife and 9 children. We prayed over the family. Among our prayers i prayed that the husband would be faithful to God. After prayer the husband had tears in his eyes. He told how he was demonic before. He used to hit the wall. He beat his wife. He said that God changed him. He had nothing before. They did not have a stove and had their fire in a big cooking pot. Now they have a nice two room house.  The fourth house had a man about 65 years old, a man in his late 30s, a woman in her 20s and a small child. We prayed for the three to accept Christ.  Lise said the younger man sweated as a demon came out of him. The older man said his wife poisoned him. We brought him to forgiving his wife.

Romania Day 2

Romania day2
Some highlights of the trip.
We went to the village Augustin.
Lice, Vasile, and I visited 6 families. The first one was very primitive. The slanted roof was a shell. One room with a couple and four children. As we spoke the husband had tears in his eyes. We prayed with them to accept Christ.
Next we went to a family with a woman with 3 children. We prayed for salvation. The next two houses had a binding of the evil one. The one man argued so my interpretor said we should go. The second house had a husband whose wife recently died. He also lost two children. He seemed to be undecided about acceoting Christ. We prayed with a 16
year old mother with a 6 month old child for salvation. Finally we prayed with a mother. I heard a word from God and spoke  prophecy to three daughters joy, purity, and mercy.
