Since I went several times to the Mstera (Russian - Мстера), this story from Orphan's Tree is very encouraging about an orphan that helps others.
I remember Mikhail as a 10-year-old boy at the Mstyora Orphanage. My impressions of “little” Mikhail were that he was energetic and athletic—as well as a bit of a troublemaker!Today Mikhail runs his own business in the construction industry and is doing well. I’m proud of his success but even more grateful for what he is doing for others. In the town of Chamerevo, Vladimir Region, Mikhail works with kids from poor families through a wrestling club he sponsors. One evening a week he invites the local priest to provide a basic Sunday school class for the boys.
Recently Mikhail and his business partner purchased a local school building and are renovating it as a community center for the kids in Chamerevo. Mikhail doesn’t think small! He is doing well in every area of his life, and I’m so proud of him!
