Romania recollection

Last time I went to Romania, it was a different world. The Cold War was hot and the threat of carrying bibles could mean at a minimum - expulsion, perhaps prison, or who knows what. It was a nice October traveling across Romania to a city near the Soviet Union. I recall we had about 600 bibles in our van. We dropped off the bibles at the home of a family. I remember they had one living area  and two bedrooms. I am trying to remember if they had 6 or 8 children. The bedrooms were small and mostly filled with beds. There were beds in the small hallway. They had electricity and running water, but no sewer hook ups. What I remember the most was how happy they were with such rudimentary conditions. It will be interesting to see how in over 35 years.
